“I have always had a strange relationship to sleep. Having a routine that, if I do not adhere to perfectly my chances of sleeping well becomes slim. Dreaming vividly and never quite feeling like my brain ever took a break. I am intrigued by the idea of a single frame capturing an entire event, rather than a fraction of a second. I applied this to my sleep as I took 5-6 hour exposures of myself sleeping. Comparing my sleep with what the negatives show me, I have been able to better understand my sleep patterns.”
